Papi is here

When Isabelle had to give up her kitten, Oliver, we promised her a replacement pet. Papi is a chihuahua that was born on March 17th, 2011. He came to live with us on April 23rd. It is quite interesting to see 3 small children "helping" take care of this tiny animal. Isabelle is completely in love with him. She has been sleeping with him each night and does a really good job at taking care of him. We're still hoping that this was the best decision.

Life is CRAZY!!!

I have no idea how it is possible that I can still be so busy, despite the fact that I no longer work a full time job. I suppose this makes sense, since I quit the job to focus more efforts on more important things here at home. I still have this nagging feeling that I am just "on summer vacation". We are settling into the house. I thought it would go much quicker than this, but it hasn't. The new tile on the kitchen and common areas is awesome! My wonderful husband has spent weeks updating the house. The kids' rooms have new closets built. He finished pantry shelves over the weekend. We have a super beautiful fence around the pool. The kitchen has a new sink and disposal, faucet set, and dishwasher. Unfortunately, since we've had so much updating to do, there are still tons of boxes taking up space in our garage. My goal is to spend some long days in the near future unpacking and getting organized. One of these days I'll even post some pictures.

We bought a house!

Our first house! We closed today, we put in an offer on January 9th and closed February 7th. Only our Heavenly Father could manage that!
Its a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car attached garage, with pool, on an acre for $89,000. Again, only He could do that!
We did our final walk through on Saturday and found out at 3:10 this afternoon that it is officially ours. We will get the keys tomorrow.

This is the first picture we saw. They were 2 pounds each, so Justine had to do complete funeral arrangements.
